{PANAMA} Bocas del Toro

Our yellow house on the water.

October 4th - 7th:

After our adventures in Boquete, we headed over to Bocas del Toro where we rented an amazing house on the ocean. The yellow house on the water was a perfect treat. It was about a 15 minute boat ride from the actual main part of town, tucked away in a peaceful little cove. There were no roads that accessed the house, so to get to and from this area was by boat only. With our own personal captain, Raul, we had a ride in and out of town. With snorkeling right off the dock and its quiet, secluded location, it was pretty much perfect. The only think missing was our guys.

The ocean was as calm as glass which made perfect conditions for stand-up paddle boarding or SUPing. We were able to rent boards and bring them out to our rental house for the duration of our stay. This made for a great option for activities as we were away from everything and everyone.

My girlfriend, Amber is a stand-up paddle board instructor (SUP), so we had a great teacher helping us get our form and technique down. We had a blast SUPing while in Bocas and the best part was we were able to check out parts of the island that are only accessible by boat.  What an awesome time!
With not appoints or schedules to keep, all we had was the sun, water, and each other. We were spoiled rotten and it was glorious.

A look inside.

Walking in the main town of Bocas with Raul.

Just a little island hopping.

Happy Trekkin'!
