Finally, after a solid 3 weeks of craziness I am able to sit down and go through some of my photo's from my past road trip to Oregon and Washington. First stop was in Twin Falls, Idaho at the beautiful Shoshone Falls.
About an 8 mile detour South off the main I-84 freeway took me to this beautiful overlook of Shoshone Falls and the Snake River. Since it was the end of a hot summer, the falls weren't as gushing as they normally would be in. I was talking with one of the guys at the front gate and he said the best time to see the fall at their peak is in the Spring time. With the sun just coming up the light hitting the falls were magical non the less.
After soaking in the sites, I headed a few miles down the road to the Dierkes Lake area for a quick look. I really didn't know where I was going just following signs and seeing what I could see in the short amount of time I had. I wish I would have continued West down the Snake River because there is so much more to check out. Now I know for next time.
I loved checking out just a few of the beautiful sites that Idaho had to offer and hope to one day come back and really take the time to explore this area again.

Normally the whole right side is just bursting with water as well.
