{Lucerne, Switzerland} Out of the Mountains and Into the Cities

With Heinz and I camping in the mountain town of Lauterbrunnen, the weather was of course very fussy. On our second day there we woke up to pretty bad weather, so we decided to pack our little day packs and hop on the train to explore some of the bigger cities at lower elevation.

First up was Lucerne (Luzern).

When we arrived in Lucerne, it was still lightly raining but not enough to destroy the views. We casually strolled through the town, walked over bridges, through cobblestone streets, and even got to go through an old church that was perched on the hillside. It was nice to see this small bustling city that had all the niceties of a large city but still felt small enough to not feel overwhelmed with crowds of people.

Leaving Lauterbrunnen for the day, hoping to find better weather.

While we were waiting to cross the street a small group of teenage girls came up to us and ask us about how we liked their city. They said they were asking tourist for a school project and then asked to take a photo with us. So somewhere out there is a picture floating around of Heinz & I in Lucerne with a bunch of teenage Swiss girls. I guess we didn't really blend in with our rain gear and packs on.
In Lucerne as well as many other Swiss cities, everyone for the most part either walks or bikes. Bike are everywhere.

A quick bit on the run.

I think I have a weird fixation with bikes.
