{Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland} Waterfalls, Cows, and Wing Suit Flyers

After a fun stay in Brig, Heinz and I headed on to Lauterbrunnen where we made as home base for the duration of our trip. Lauterbrunnen is a mountainous ski, climb, hike, and wing suit flying farm town that is tucked away in a gorgeous valley with massive mountains all around. Since our weather was less than optimal, we never were able to see all of the mountains that surrounded this awesome little town, but what we did experience was priceless non the less.

When we arrived in Lauterbrunnen we were taken back with the incredible waterfalls that were all around. Apparently it's the town with dozens and dozens of waterfalls all through out the valley and it was really neat to see. We also had fun watching some wing suit flyer's jump off the cliffs above the valley and land into town. They were literally landing in the cow pastures. It was pretty crazy to see in person but also really cool. Lauterbrunnen is the place to be for wing suit flying and parachuting. It's like next level stuff out here in Switzerland. When I think of extreme sports, this would definitely be it. We were able to talk with a few of the guys flying and one of the guys was currently living in Moab, UT.  Crazy small world.

Our little camp for the next several days. We camped at Camping Jungfrau, Lauterbrunnen. Like I've mentioned in previous posts, camping in Switzerland is more for the car camper's with vehicles, big tents, or RVs with electrical hook ups and such. The facilities and staff at Camping Jungfrau where top notch. Really nice shower's and bathrooms (so clean), excellent restaurant on site as well as a nice little place to cook and eat indoors if you wanted to. We had a great time.
