{Hiking Utah} White Pine Lake

I know, I know, I've posted on White Pine Lake a bunch of times already but it really is such a great mellow day hike that gets you to a beautiful high alpine lake in Little Cottonwood Canyon. I couldn't not post about it because it really is a favorite of mine.

Anyways, Heinz and I made a nice mid-morning hike up to White Pine Lake last week and it didn't disappoint at all. I swear it seems greener and just more beautiful in Utah these days. At slightly over 8 miles round trip, this is a great gradual hike or better yet, trail runner. The trail is in great shape, wide enough and just beautiful the whole way. At about three quarters of the way up you get an awesome view of the Cottonwood Ridge across the canyon, which is on the list of ridges to be done.

A look at the Cottonwood Ridge. Can't wait to tackle it!

I hope everyone is having a great summer. I know this has been one of the best summer's and years yet.

Happy Trekkin'!
