{Alps} Aiguille du Midi and Mont Blanc

After hiking to the mid-mountain lift, we rested a bit and soaked in the the views of jagged crag and snow capped peaks all around. It was truly an unbelievable sight. With clouds surrounding every which way, it felt as if we were in some fairy tale land, a dream of sorts. It was a dream, a dream come true that we were living and breathing in that very moment. We payed our "discounted" rate for the tram ride that would take us to the top of Aiguille du Midi, (a whole $8 off since we hiked, wahoo), but worth every penny to get us to that last stretch on top of the world (or close to it).

Once we reached the top I couldn't believe the views, they were even better than before. It felt like the icing on the cake. Glorious peaks upon peaks upon peaks, as far as the eye could see. It was a magnificent sight and something that I will always feel grateful to have seen with my own eye's. With Mont Blanc lingering in the distance it was hard not to want more, do more, be more. I know that's a selfish way to be but when you see something that shakes you to your core, it changes you. It makes you want to do things you never thought you could do. It makes you dream bigger. It makes me dream bigger. It makes me feel alive. This is what I live for. This kind of beauty. These kinds of mountains. Well any mountains really. I want to experience it all. Be outside exploring the beauty. The magnitude of Mont Blanc made me vow to come back and conquer that peak someday. This day and time was not mine to climb but to prepare and seek for the future. Another day Mont Blanc, another day.
