April's almost over, how did that happen?
At the beginning of the month, H & I were able to spend some time with my parents who recently moved back to Northern Utah from Washington DC. It's so nice having them close and being able to spend more face to face time with them.
Heinz had a big birthday this month that we celebrated with a delicious dinner at Log Haven in Millcreek Canyon and topped it off with some homemade brownies for dessert. It was a low key celebration because the real party will be happening next month in Switzerland.
We also had an unexpected trip to Las Vegas because Heinz's Opa (grandpa) died. At 93 years of age, Opa lived an extraordinary life. We were fortunate to spend some quality time with Heinz's dad and Oma (grandma). Looking through old photo's, eating good food and listening to stories about Opa was the best part.
It's been a whirlwind of a month and I kind of can't believe it's pretty much over. April has brought many happy experiences, crazy weather, great family time together as well as an unexpected loss. What I know for sure is that this life is good and I am so grateful to live it.
Happy Birthday Heinz!
