{Canyonlands N.P.} Alcove Spring Trail to Zeus and Moses

A look at Zeus and Moses from afar.

Heinz & I had the opportunity to make a quick trip to Moab, UT and explore some of the awesome terrain in a few of our National Parks.

The Alcove Spring Trail was a really fun hike that my cousin recommended to us (Thanks Jess!) in Canyonlands National Park, Island in the Sky. A good portion of this trail was in a dry river bed that spits you out in a gorgeous valley where Zeus and Moses stand tall in the sky. These majestic rocks are awesome to see after meandering through a long wash. A great reward.

At 12.8 miles (give or take a little mileage depending on how much exploring you do) the trail itself was well marked and made for a great trail runner at different points in the hike. We were also blessed with almost perfect weather minus the mini blizzard that kicked up the last few miles.
All in all a great day and a hike I would highly recommend.
