{Hiking Utah} Sundial Peak

Sundial Peak is a dominate peak of a mountain valley and gives 360 views of beautiful knife edge ridges. It tower's over  Lake Blanche and calls you to climb it. H & I were really excited to get to the top of Sundial as it was a new area to us and had some awesome ridge climbing, which made for a fun morning.
We started by hiking up to Lake Blanche were we took a little breather and pumped some water at the lake. Then we made our way around Lake Blanche and started hiking up towards the hanging canyon (or valley). Once in the hanging canyon we traversed the talus slope for about 3/4 mile before finding a spot to scramble up to the ridge. We continued on the ridge that took us to the summit which did not disappoint. What a fun adventure.
