{Hiking Utah} Solitude Mountain

Part of Fantasy Ridge

In Utah, we have had the most amazing Fall. With the cool chill in the morning to the perfect mid 70's during the day, I can't think of a better time of year to really explore our beautiful Utah mountains.

Last week H & I headed up to Solitude Mountain Resort to do some hiking and take a look at some of the ridges that we want to climb. We started out on the Honeycomb Return Trail that went up Honeycomb Canyon. We stayed on this trail all the way up to the Summit Pass. We reached the pass and decided to head back down on the Summit Trail, taking us down past Lake Solitude and connecting us with the Kruzr Trail that took us the rest of the way down. When we got back to the car, the clouds and light were beautiful, a true reward.

[Side note: This trail would be an excellent trail runner.]

The moon was out.
