{Hiking Utah} Mount Raymond & Gobbler's Knob

A look at Mount Raymond from the Bowmen trail.

Last week H and I decided to hike Mount Raymond and figured since we were going to be up on the ridge, why not head over to Gobbler's Knob, which is only about 2 miles away from Mt Raymond.
We started hiking up on the Bowman Fork trail (Porter Fork trailhead) in Millcreek Canyon and took it all the way to Baker Pass. Baker Pass is the trail in between Mt Raymond and Gobbler's Knob and gives spectacular views of Big Cottonwood Canyon. We hiked up to the top of Mt Raymond first, which is a really fantastic peak to stand on with it's 360 degree views of beauty. After soaking in the sites, we headed back down to Baker Pass and then up to Gobbler's Knob. From Gobbler's Knob we headed down Alexander Basin that took us all the way back to the Millcreek Canyon road and then walked the road the rest of the way to our car. So from Bowman Fork to Baker Pass to Mt Raymond to Gobbler's Knob down Alexander Basin and back to the Porter Fork trailhead we ended up doing just over 12 miles. Not a bad way to spend a beautiful Fall day.
Check it out for yourself!
