Waking up early has it's advantages and if you're like me you'll take the opportunity and shoot the sunrise.
I was lucky enough to see this silver moon slit as well as the star of Venus. It is very, very faint (to the left of the moon), but it is there. Pretty cool.
I traveled to Syracuse, which is about 30 miles north of Salt Lake City, pretty much on a whim. I was originally planning on going to Antelope Island, but forgot about the entrance fee and had no cash on me. Since time was critical, I found a large field on the outskirts of Syracuse, grabbed my camera and waited for the light to go off.
Taking photo's is rejuvenating for me, kind of like listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. Relaxing and peaceful. I could do this forever.
Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.
Until next time,
