Backpacking Solo

Red Pine Lake

A few weeks ago, Heinz ventured out on a solo backpacking trip which wasn’t anything new to him and something I have always longed to do. When thinking of taking on a solo trip, there are so many factors to consider. The basic questions like where should I go, how long should I stay, and what will I need will undoubtedly run through a person’s mind, but other questions arise that may cause fear to those left at home.
I have hiked many hikes solo and done other various adventures solo, but never backpacked in the wilderness for several days solo before. How I long for this adventure and it will come and it will be hard to return, but back to Heinz and his solo adventure.
Heinz backpacked a familiar but rugged territory called the Beat Out. The Beat Out is a very fond excursion to both Heinz and I, in particular because it is beautiful and scarce of people.
I was so jealous that Heinz was going backpacking – oh how I really wanted to ditch work and hit up the trail with him, but my commitments kept me home.

Heinz had a successful trip with several beautiful photos to share.

All photos were shot by Heinz.

Until next time,
