The time has finally come for me to say goodbye to my trusted side kick, Gurttie (or Gurt my little flip phone). It's crazy to think how many years we have been together, a decade at least if not longer. Gurttie has been there throughout the stresses of college, all the boyfriends (Gurt warned me about the dumb ones, but I never listened), my injuries, athletic competitions, so many accomplishments, and at times, devastating disappointments. Gurttie has been my safety connection as well as my lifeline home. Whenever I needed a pick me up, Gurttie was there ready to take action. Not to mention forgiving, remember Gurt, when I dropped you in that glass of water that one time, you didn't talk to me for a whole day and a half, but then you came around. (Sorry about that)
It was tuff saying goodbye but it was time to move on to something a little more mature, a little more sexy, and a lot more fun. (Sorry Gurt, it's not you, it's me.)
Goodbye Gurttie and hello Sally.
Yup, I finally made the plunge into the 21st century with this whole smart phone business. I find it very convenient, but also excessive. Although I have already signed that two year contract (doh!), I will make the best out of what I would call a fun idea but expensive feature in today's world. Oh well, live and learn.
I hope you are having a great start to March! Can you believe it, St. Patrick's Day and Easter in the same month. Wowza!
Until next time,
