When we arrived on the streets of Paris after a long flight, mom and I were determined to make them most of every minute we had. On our way to find the metro, I couldn't help but stop and take in the sights. I was in love from the very first moment. The buildings, the streets, the lights, and the people. It was all a wonderful dream come true.
A view of the Oprey.
My first look at the Louvre. A very kind french women helped us get to the Louvre, where we caught the metro to our apartment.
The Louve - actually just a small part of it. The Louve is HUGE!
We arrived at our cute little apartment that mom had rented for the week without much fuss. OK, so it was a little stressful, but I blame that on being tired and hungry.
FYI - if you are ever in Paris and have luggage, it would be helpful to have a backpack or reasonable sized luggage bag that you can lift or carry easily. I had a few issue's getting my large roller bag through the turn entrance in the metro. The stairs and entrance's alone make you wish you didn't have any luggage to transport. Live and learn.
The five flights of stairs to our apartment. It was such a cool winding staircase - not so much fun with luggage.
Our front door. Yup, the doorknob is in the middle of the door.
The view from our apartment.
Getting ready to go out and hit the town.
And then it begins.
Until next time,
