Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so today I suited up in pink, head to toe, to make strides against breast cancer with my mom.
About a year ago, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, she has gone through several months of chemo, radiation, and had a mastectomy. It has been a rough 11 months, but my mom has handled every challenge and hurdle with an optimistic attitude.
Today, she made her own strides by walking in a sea of pink in the hope of finding a cure for breast cancer. I'm very honored and proud to have such a strong mom. She is a great example of when the going gets tough, the tough get going.

One tough cookie, that's my mom.

Until next time, have a great weekend and
Happy Trekkin'.
