Hiking: Mt. Superior & Monte Cristo

Why hello there.
 On top of Mt. Superior

Heinz and I are back to the grind and back in the mountains. On Saturday, we hiked up to Mt. Superior and continued on the ridge to Monte Cristo for some beautiful views and to catch the colors that are going off.

A look at Monte Cristo (the round, middle peak) from Mt. Superior.

Mt. Superior and Monte Cristo reside in Little Cottonwood Canyon, about 3,000ft from the canyon road. The majority of the east ridge is a scramble with some basic climbing moves to the top that give you panoramic views.

Fall is in the air.

If you are in the SLC valley or close by and want to see some fall colors, head up to the Cottonwood Canyons, it won't be here for long.

Mt. Superior and Monte Cristo, a steep hike that is well worth the effort.

One more day of September, lets make it a good one.

Until next time,
Happy Trekkin'.
