Upper Red Pine Lake

Another weekend, another hike, only this time with friends.

Upper Red Pine Lake is located in the Lone Peak Wilderness and accessed through Little Cottonwood Canyon. The trail to the lower Red Pine Lake, (which is the more populated lake), is
somewhat muddy and snow covered, but still very doable. Once you reach the lower lake, you can take a couple different routes to the upper lake. We chose to climb high and skirt up and over to this frozen beauty.

A little chilly at the upper lake. Still snow, still frozen.

This is looking down at the lower lake. You can only see bits and piece's of the lower lake, but it's a beautiful aqua green.

Another beautiful day with friends. Can't beat that.

Have a great week and

Happy Trekkin'.
