Sometimes you just need a break.
And for me, a little break was the ticket back on the happy train. Life can be hard, frustrating, sad, and even miserable at times - BUT it can also be beautiful, amazing, wonderful, and a grand old time. I choose to embrace the positive energy that surrounds me with open arms and kick the negativity to the curb.
There are so many things I am thankful for including my health, physical ability, determination, family, friends, and at the top of the list - Heinz. Without him I would truly be lost.
So, back to this blogging thAng.
A little back country action.
A little hiking and sunshine action.
And a little broken finger action:
Wait what? Broken finger action?
The story goes something like this:
Heinz: "We'll just sled our way down the mountain."
Juliette: "Isn't it too steep on this part?"
H: "No - just follow my track."
J: "Um, OK."
H: "Watch out for the tree!"
J: "AHHHHH, $*it, $*it, $*it, I hit the tree. I think I broke my finger."
H: "Oh no, oh no, oh no, is it broken?"
J: "It hurts, It hurts, It hurts!"
H: "Can you move your finger?"
J: "No, it just hurts."
H: "It's not broken. Just put some snow on it."
Meanwhile, we find the trail, start hiking down and this is what happens next:
H: "Watch me surf on the sled."
J: "I don't think that's a good..."
H: "AHHHHH, MY SHOULDER!!! My shoulder's out, my shoulder's out!"
J: "Are you kidding me? How can you get hurt when I'm already hurt?"
H: "Pull my arm down and twist."
J: "You don't need to show off for me, you already have me."
H: "I know that was dumb."
Work hard and play hard. Sometimes we get hurt playing hard (or showing off:), but its worth it.
Until next time, Happy St. Patrick's Day and
