Lake Blanche Winter Hike

Those of you who live in Utah, know that we have been having some very gorgeous weather lately. Instead of our normal ski day, we decided to head up to Lake Blanche. Trekkin up to Lake Blanche this time of the year can be a bit tricky if you don't have the right equipment and since this trail is so widely used, it is pretty much ice the whole way up. My recommendation would be to have a good, sturdy boot and/or snow shoes (it would have been nice to have crampons in spots) and poles for support (non of which we had with us - except the boots of course). It was like a slip 'n' slide in some spots but worth every unsteady step.
