Trekkin Tuesday's: Lake Blanche & Lake Lillian

Lake Blanche and Lake Lillian are some of the prettiest alpine lakes in the Wasatch mountains. The trail head starts at the S-turns in Big Cottonwood Canyon and the trail itself is very well marked and maintained.

Stunning Sundial Peak overlooks Lake Blanche after a fairly short 2 3/4 mile (one way) hike. With an elevation gain of about 2700 feet, this hike will keep the heart pumping.

Continue on the trail for another 1/2 of a mile and you will reach Lake Lillian.

If your lucky, you might even see some really pretty fish.

At 8,920 feet, Lake Blanche and Lake Lillian are a fave.
