Another year older, wiser, and all that jazz. Unlike a lot of people, I love my birthday and getting older. Yup, I embrace the wrinkles that are setting in and the weird facial hair that pops up out of nowhere, but the best part about getting older is being able to digest life in a positive way. I feel like life gets easier or maybe it's that I just get the big picture. Anyway, life is good and my last year in the 20s is going to be a blast!
Here is a picture I found from 10 years ago. I love it because it is me and my mom pulling funny faces at each other!
Do you see where I get some of my silliness from?
Here are some pics from by BDAY, HOORAY!
The day started off with presents galore. I got spoiled rotten.
With all the rain we have been having, I really wanted to get a pair of rain boots for my birthday to splash around in the puddles. Did I mention I turned 29 yesterday? And I still like to jump and splash in puddles.
Here I am in my PJs with all of my birthday presents. Are you wondering about the dill pickle potato chips? Well, chips are my favorite and these dill chips are the best. They only come around during the summer months, so of course Heinz had to get a bag (or two).
I got hooked up with a bunch of gift cards to some of my favorite stores. I'm already planning out what to buy.
Heinz and I had originally planned to hike from little cottonwood canyon and drop into big cottonwood canyon. A hike that would take most of the day, but due to all of the monsoon weather and high snow pack, we didn't feel like it would have been safe. Instead we did a little playing in the down pour.
A rope coming out of a tree???
The rain started to clear up just as we were getting back home. Bad timing. Here is a little birdie on an old fence. Ya, kind of random.
Our neighbors had this in their yard and I thought my dad would get a kick out of it.
The end of the day ended with a little dessert. The cheesecake brownie was pretty darn good.
Thanks everyone for making my birthday special. It means a lot that you thought of me on one of my most favorite days of the year.
